What's Your View?

As my regular readers know I love the mountains and the picture on my blog is an example of what I love to view. I love to look out over the mountains and the valleys and marvel at the beauty and awesomeness of it. I'm always at peace when I'm up in the mountains.

But, I'm not usually in the mountains. I'm down in the day-to-day humdrum of life like everyone else and my "view" isn't as peaceful as the mountains. My "view" includes my family, my friends, perfect strangers, TV, etc. My family and friends make up a wonderful "view" but many of the strangers I meet are just downright rude. The images that come across my TV are vile and not worth watching. These "views" are what many of us concentrate on everyday and it's no wonder that we are so depressed, angry, and feel disconnected.

I know that what I see on TV does not, in any way, reflect my views or my life. It seems to reflect a modern day freak show that isn't down at the local fair but it's in my house! That is why I don't watch TV very often and am extremely selective of what I view. I realize that what I view daily determines my "view" of the world and my place in it. So, I encourage you to check what your "view" is and if you don't like it, don't be afraid to change it.

Have a blessed day!
