Magic

Songwriting with a collaborator is sort of like sitting in a room with someone and tossing around a few ideas and, if God shows up, magic happens. Over the past two weeks my songwriting friend, Sheila, and I have been experiencing some magic. We're been hard at work birthing a new song titled "Stand Up America" and will be performing it at her church this Sunday night. We have recorded a demo (learned how to do this entirely in the past two weeks!!) and submitted it to the USA Songwriting Contest. We will also submit it for critique through Songwriters Guild of America. This song has taken on a life of its own and we're trying to scramble to keep up with it. Magic has happened and we may be getting ready to travel on a magic carpet ride! I'll keep ya'll posted.....
