I spent the past few days rewriting for the umpteenth time a children's book and an inspirational poem. It's been said many times before that writing is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration. Well, I've been perspiring over these two works a lot. I know in my heart what I want to express but getting that down on paper using the proper words in the proper alignment takes a lot of effort. It is akin to giving birth to a creation and anytime birth is involved there is pain involved also. Hence my title "Ouch!"
My children's book is coming along nicely and I plan to present it as a fundraiser for a charity organization. All of my profits will be donated. The poem I hope to get published in a publication this year so stay tuned!
The trail I'm on isn't well marked and it isn't heavily traveled but it's heading up the mountain. So far the going has been difficult but very enjoyable and the views and the comrades have been wonderful!
